Overall, we rate News Rescue Right-Center Biased and Questionable based on a lack of transparency, poor souring, and the promotion of conspiracy theories and misinformation.
Detailed Report

At least the cone of silence works in the echo chamber.

And here's a snippet of typical leftist hypocrisy...

LOL.

I post factual information about the Truth social stock price and Trumps plummeting net worth .....

No misinformation here. Only Truth! Trump Truth?

And another great article from Rumble, the home of leading news stories.

Your comment was about massive foundations used in the UK.
Here slabs are engineered to the geotechnical report. If you want above and beyond will cost, which as I said people won’t pay for.

Well so you hope but all those cracking and sagging slabs might beg to differ.

What's wrong with Rumble? what you would rather YT be the only player in the game?

I don't go to YT looking for factual news either. It's a entertainment platform.

Over the past 2 years, 5 houses have either been knocked down, or the land with housing on it has been subdivided around my area...It didn't take too long for new houses to pop up

So if developers were trickle feeding over subdivisions, why would have these houses gone up so quick?

If it’s only 5 houses then that’s not a major development by a major developer. Maybe local landholders subdividing?

Back in ye olden days us plebs got to buy land wholesale directly off the government at a general auction. Now the land is given away for SFA to the developers to trickle into the market at the highest possible price.

Importing more people will only add to the demand for houses..

So using your argument, this will then push housing prices up even more wouldn't it?

I’ve already been through this. If we import builders they will build more houses than they occupy, thus adding to supply.

Ideally the government should be restricting immigration to only those of high importance to the country (and builders/trades would be top of that list IMO).

I wont hold my breath though as the government will do anything to not get the “recession on Labor’s watch” headline so will keep importing as many people as possible to make sure that doesn’t happen.

Must be an S.A thing, but have stated there are 5 major developments within a 20 K radius of me....

So if they're holding back for a better price, they're definately not showing it in my neck of the woods

Well, here's a clicky that might be a little more palatable...

The term is ‘land banking’. Have a search and read up. e.g. https://www.afr.com/wealth/personal...vestment-is-a-really-bad-idea-20231026-p5ef7j

https://moneysmart.gov.au/investment-warnings/land-banking

Victoria has recently brought in a new tax to discourage the practice (or at least socialise some of the gains). https://moneysmart.gov.au/investment-warnings/land-banking

Without reading it, these developments are going full steam ahead, with owners already moved into finished houses, whilst more are being built...

So I could safely assume, the council has already approved the rezoning and building on this land

One area had building temporarily suspended as they found what they suspected being aboriginal bones....Turned out not to be so, so building continued on

I also heard years back, areas that were once like country areas, where you drove for 20 k or so, with very minimal housing, is now being developed to join up with existing heavily populated areas....This is now showing up, as a couple of these developments are in the area I describe
