Why Has Holden Changed this on VF2?

    GEN-F2 GTS A6, VS Clubsport 185 A4
    The front brake hose support brackets and brake hose attachments (refer picture) of my Gen‑F2 GTS look like the VT/VF ones. However, the rear brake hose support brackets and hose attachments are quite different (refer other two pictures) and don’t use the circular plastic/rubber washer that connects to the bracket. Does anyone know if this rear treatment is the same on all VF2 Commodores? Does anyone know why Holden would have made this change – was the previous method not secure enough?

    I can only guess that they ran out of parts as the productions are coming to an end.

    Could it be because the GTS runs different brakes to Holden?

    I'm sure that whatever they use would have been 'engineer' approved although in reality it may not be suitable !!

    Have you worked for GMH and understand what goes into making an engineering change that is even as small as this one?

    Maybe it's a better design? Things change for many different reasons.
