Fresh engine oil/filter Washed and detailed. had to get the aircon system repaired/regassed last week...$950! prior to that new brake rotors/pads $900 next month is rego renewal....$936 far out...
Yeah, I know. It's a ridiculous system when the fees are based on the number of engine cylinders. CTP insurance has increased by 2.2%
Got the Bike rack out, so I can fit the Bike Rack numberplate to it And also put everything together so I can but the bottom part of the rack and towball onto the tongue of the towbar. Hopefully will get around to a test fit.
Popped in some earplugs & took ute for a cruise...factory cat was stuffed so had it replaced with 100cell unit which has made cabin drone too much to handle so need to save up for proper exhaust or splurge on rear muffler. Sounds really good from outside & revs like a mofo just too annoying inside cabin for anything but a short drive now.
Removed my PCV valve and cleaned it out. Then put it back in. Happy it wasn't blocked or covered in gunk, even happier now that it's done.
Polished and hard waxed the mistress today. I think she turned out pretty good. Tomorrow’s the interior
Finished the engine bay, wheels and glass. Contemplating doing to interior but sh*t it’s hot in my carport. excuse the rusty brakes I haven’t driven the car since I washed it
Do you use anything in particular to clean the engine bay, or just give it a wipe over with a damp cloth ?
@VS 5.0 I gave the engine bay a very light spray with water then agitated with a brush and rag then rinsed and gave it a really light spray with autoglym vinyl and rubber care and left it sit for about half hour then wipe dry leaving a really nice clean matte finish.
Finally cleaned the interior and man this cars are so nice when there clean. Now I’m way to scared to take it for a drive. What if someone in front of me uses there windscreen washers lol
