Arrow shows the flow direction Usually the crimped seam is towards the head of the arrow, so you want that to be the outlet.

Crewman/one tonner fuel filters are a one piece unit with the fuel pump inside the fuel tank

Ha Ha you beat me to it Trayner :) Was just gonna post this.

Did the new fuel filter come with a couple of new O'rings.
These O'rings need to be replaced after dismantling the fuel pump module to replace the filter.
If you accidentally pinch the O'rings when re assembling the fuel pump module assembly, you can have issues with the fuel pressure.

    Whoops, my bad.

Will likely be an O-Ring issue then as Tonner Matt said.

I might have a diagram of the fuel tank set up, no diagram of the pump though.

For the record and for anyone finding this thread relating to Crewman fuel filter or pump, here's a good How To on Youtube.

I like this guy's videos. Good on ya Tom.
Not a crewman, but for those at home, what the pump roughy looks like. I did cringe a few times watching him get the pump back in, but all good.

Carl Barron's brother showing the dodgy fuel sender and which brand of pump to choose when replacing.

Hey OP, how long did it take you to do this job? (Other than it needing to be redone?)

    Hi Scott

If you haven't found the problem, but also reference for future searchers. If purchased the fuel filter only (from SCA or Repco), you would have been supplied 10mm O'Rings - DO NOT USE THEM. Purchase and replace the o'ring between the fuel pump and fuel filter with a 3/8 x 3/32

I also installed an access hatch in the tray (under the tub liner) of my VZ Crewman. If anyone wants diagrams and dimensions on that, go to photos on the facebook group: Holden Crewman Enthusiasts NZ (Will also put info up about it on our Crewman website, link to that is on top of FB group). Is a you tube I did on changing Crewman Fuel Filter
