VX Head gaskets replacement

VXii 3.8 Supercharged
Hey people. I have a VX Supercharged L67. Just wondering if i need to replace head bolts whilst replacing head gaskets? Thanku for any advice.

Yes, they are TTY (Torque To Yield).
Probably be an idea to replace the rocker bolts as well.

Better to be safe than sorry, could get away with reusing them on a n/a engine but i wouldn't risk it with fi.

Cast iron head and block. So not a huge amount of irregular expansion/ contraction. As long as the threads are clean as a whistle - I'd reuse them. They don't lose their elasticity.

Its always good practice to replace head bolts, im not saying your motor will fail if you dont... but for the sake of $50 or so you may as well do a job properly.

Re using TTY bolts is like pissing in the wind , can be done but makes a mess

The bolt actually elongates permantly when torqued and as soon as they are loosened they are fatigued , re using them is not worth it
