It happened in my lunch break. I snuck out to get a quote for some painting on the ute. The other two times were in the morning though. NFI why they choose my park to take, over the 5 other spots that people like me pay for.

Newbies who ask for advice from the forum and don't like what they're told, so they have a spit and claim the forum is useless.

It's an absolute joke. The recent sleeping beauty was another example. People were told to boycott it because the prince kissed her without permission.....

This is minor annoyance , but I can remember when people got a Knight Hood , for conquering mountains , curing a disease making a scientific breakthrough , for their tireless efforts to help the poor and downtrodden , and being a war hero and they gave one to a rugby coach

I thought that NZ had ditched the Monarchy awards like Australia. Tony Abbot made a complete fool of himself by awarding plastic 'knighthoods', that didn't last long.

Is anyone else completely over hearing news reports about the trials and tribulations of the Royal Family ???
Who cares who Charlie and Andrew were screwing years ago, who is pregnant this month with twins, and where Megan and Harry are going to live ? Probably most Australian couldn't give a flying **** about it all, except the media, and it is time for the Australian Republic to happen. Don't debate it, just do it and iron out the wrinkles down the track.
Governor General = President, replace the R (Royal) with R (Republic) …….. RAAF, RAN = Republic of Australia Air Force, Republic of Australia Navy.

For that, you need a Revolution and kick the Red Coat arses back where they came from. Better start getting your blades, torches and pitch forks ready.

I am in the impression, the world is rejecting globalism and embracing nationalism. Look at Taiwan election report..

NZ still has them , it would have been more fitting to give him the NZOM , New Zealand Order of Merit , I agree I don't care a whit about the Royal Family , but I do give kudos to Harry and Meghan , for going their own way .

The English have much to answer for , Concentration Camps in South Africa , the partition of Ireland and India , huge landholdings that we can't walk over or lean on a fence , sending someone to the other side of the world for stealing a loaf of bread to feed their family or nicking a bicycle , warm stale beer , the most heinous crime of all , and jellied eel , and finally for being chinless wonders .

    Nah, won't happen in Straya.
It would have to be during a working week, when the footy and cricket seasons are not going, when the surf is not up, and when the fireys are not out busting their guts. ( Footy seasons are year round, NRL and AFL are during winter, soccer in summer. Rugby Union can be any time of the year when the Wallabies get flogged by anyone.)

same thing would apply in New Zealand and South Africa , although we don't often get bush fires , but we could probably handle an British invasion with a Volunteer Fire Brigade , or a divvy van full of Cossers

I see, Panem et Circenses... interesting how history repeats itself.

Is either fight for it or simply roll over, curl on a ball, or just bend over and take it all. I rather fight...

Anybody that decide on doing nothing, stop bitching on how all is all fücked up.

The feeling for change has diminished a bit since the referendum in 99 but I reckon it might recover once the Queen has passed. I think Oz has a few more pressing concerns at present.

I think you are living in the past.

What are we going to do ……. have a revolution and kick the English Army out of Australia ????
With "blades, torches and pitch forks" ????? WTF. That thinking finished here in about 1850.
Yeah, WW1, we foolishly followed Mother England into a war which had SFA to do with our side of the planet.
WW2 same thing, but at least our Govt had the nous to get troops out of Europe/Nth Africa at the right time and back to our own region.
Unfortunately, we still owe a big debt to the USA regarding the Pacific war, hence Vietnam and every other busted-arse non-winnable war Australia has been involved in since then.

Australia has all but become an independent nation, with no allegiance to Great Britain, England, Brexit or whatever now. All we have to do is agree on the legalities about how to do it.
We may joke about “bitching on how all is all fücked up” and how the most important person in Australia is Tim Paine, and that next in line is ScoMo.

But, we have more important things to do than ponder about what the new flag will look like or how a President will be elected/appointed. I just hope that when we do it, we do it better than following the domestic political mess that USA is currently.
