Not sure what the problem is. Is the light on or off?
    Which light is on?
How much oil did you pour into the engine?

Oil light should only light up for 1 second when you start the engine. If it stays on longer than that it's a bad sign and indicates low oil pressure. So your fresh oil probably solved the problem you had and now you don't see the light..

The oil light is activated by the oil switch sensor as long as there is enough oil in there it wont stay on even if you havnt driven it

Did you spill oil on the senor below the filter when you changed it? Un-clip it give it a clean and see if it comes on.

Still haven't said which light isn't coming on.
We have assumed it's an oil light.

More info is needed from OP.
    How about a photo OP?
