I may be wrong, but chrome is chrome isn't it? It's a metalic coating with a copper base, over various substratum right? So the chrome diecast SS & Holden badges are still chrome. Just as chrome over plastic is still chrome. Albeit more prone to delamination. But all chrome work is at risk of this in the wrong conditions. We've moved on from steel bumpers...so I don't accept the whole "faux chrome" point, being a lesser visual effect. I reckon the chrome on all dark VF's and metalics looks bloody awesome. You don't. Horses for courses. But there is no way I would, nor let one of the plethora of so called professionals out there, strip the chrome off my peacock Redline to replace it with black. Vice versa with my pending red Motorsport.
