You need to leave one bypass in place (the one from the top of the manifold back down to the waterpump), this allows coolant to flow when the thermostat is closed and helps the warm up cycle. The other one you can block off as you please.
So leave in the little elbow pipe at the front of the manifold to water pump and block the rear?
So that leaves the 2 heater pipes blocked.

Thanks mate been busy, but I will get there. Just a quick question, I have fitted a double row timing chain and I have a new style tensioner but it does not fit. I saw somewhere that the double row chain does not need a tensioner. Is this correct?
If so I can leave it off, engine getting lighter now.
