Are you sure you've quoted the correct power figure? I doubt you'd get that power out of just an OTR, zorst and tune... if its been cammed then yes....

FYI - it doesnt have a performance chip, the factory computer has been tuned

Looks nice and clean. Ride height is perfect!

Power figure is rubbish thought unless it's cammed.

Whet sort of brakes are you thinking for it?

Tune I meant, not chip...Not up with all the lingo.

Don't have a lot of experience with what mods increase power to a certain amount of rwkw, the dyno completed by a friend said 303... Perhaps the car was built on a Wednesday..? haha

As for brakes, im not too sure. There are a few options out there, all seem rather expensive though. around the 3-5 k mark. Any suggestions..?

Yeah, not sure where that 303 comes from.

It's definately not at the wheels unless there is a cam in there. So for a moment I thought it might be 303rwhp but that works out to be 226rwkw which is too low for the mods you listed.

You would expect 250-270rwkw with your mods on that engine.

Re brakes, you can get the brembo fronts for like 1500 but they are not that impressive.

For 2K: VE big brake upgrade 405mm 8 pot | eBay

And then you have 1K sorting out something for the rear.

Or, you can try and hunt down a PDB M Series kit 2nd hand:
HOLDEN COMMODORE VE PBR M-SERIES BRAKE UPGRADE HSV SS BERLINA CALAIS | eBay

    Dyno results

    Thanks Jesterarts,

Will def have a look around for some brakes...Not as expensive as I thought it would be.

Also thought i'd post my dyno results that were done mid last year.

Will get some pics up of the hard lid once on this weekend.

    Cheers

I have otr, 1 3/4" try-ys, hi flow cats, 2.5" cat back, performance tune, powerbond balancer and I've only just hit 270RWkw ...
Couple of friends with the same setup are all on or around 270rwkw and a another friend with a vcm 21 cam and lots of work done is struggling to hit 300rwkw ...

Me thinks a happy dyno / loose ratchet as know way it can hit those figures with those mods.

Remember though, it's how it drives down the 1/4 that counts. Enjoy the car dude!

Hey guys, its possible it has a cam, but i was never told that. Surely you would advertise that as it would be a selling point..? Car runs quite smooth, not too lumpy so unsure.. I might chuck it on the dyno again and find out. LMG Performance are coming up here tomorrow for a car show with their dyno. Might ask them to do it for me. Has anyone heard much about LMG??

Yeah car runs great, so no complaints from me. On the open road i'm getting 10.1L/100kms. Keep in mine that's sitting at 115 km/hr for approx 3 hrs.

Yeah that's about right. Maybe they didn't tell as they thought it would put people off.

I mild cam with a 221/221 lift would be fairly smooth and would get you to 300rwkw - you would more than likely notice it when cold but when warm it would be a sleeper.

Maybe you got lucky and got a free mod!

    Hey Luke,

Yeah that's true. Either way, you have all got me thinking now, so I might put in on the dyno this weekend and see what the guys at LMG say.

Where did you get your exhaust done?

Ah nice. Well i'm in canberra and there is #### all over here to do with car parts and such. But i am looking at the slimline twin humps one with a gto bob tail (its like a a lip at the end) looks awesome i reckon. Its from flat top products or something. Melbourne or sydney i cant remember.

The 1st part (cat back) was done by D&T performance in the city

The headers & hi-flow cats was done by Exhaust Technology in goodwood and the tune next door at KPM performance.

You should get ANY exhaust work done by Mark at exhaust technology - he knows his stuff and got the best for me (street performance low - mid torque)

Let me know where you are if you want to hear my setup in person mate

Hey Dannyp yeah I like those lids too! Really hard to decide which ones to go for hey!

Luke, I've had work done by d&t before, expensive but good. I live across the road from Kim and exhaust tech so see plenty of cars there.. I have a Custom 2 1/2" already. Good to hear good work happening in Adelaide though!

Hard lid on tomorrow and the 20" supersports also on. Will post some pics monday
